Century Geophysical Corporation
QEC has teamed with Century Geophysical Corporation of Tulsa, OK, to
adapt the EBF for compatibility with Century Geophysical logging equipment. For more than
50 years, Century Geophysical has been involved in research, design, manufacture, and use
of borehole geophysical techniques and instrumentation. Century specializes in the design
and manufacturing of non-petroleum borehole logging instrumentation, especially for use in
coal, minerals, and groundwater exploration; hazardous waste site investigations; and
geotechnical site assessments.
A description of this flowmeter, designated as the 9721 logging tool,

U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency
The Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Lab of the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency supported field testing and development of field
procedures for the EBF prototype during the development phase. That project produced a
description of the EBF system and field application technique which is presented in the
USEPA Technical Report EPA/600/R-98/058, Application of the Electromagnetic Borehole
Flowmeter, August 1998. A copy of this report may be downloaded from the USEPA
